Hereunder you will find the salient points regarding the 2010 regulations. The full version will be available in January.

Drivers
The Belcar Endurance Championship 2010 is open to:
Holders of an international FIA A, B or C licence;
Holders of a Belgian B-Circuit licence (minimum requirement for GT3);
Holders of a Belgian C-Circuit licence (minimum requirement for night races);
Holders of a Belgian C-Circuit traineeship licence (max 2 litres).

Drivers who in 2009 were holders of a circuit A certificate, issued by either the VAS or ASAF, and who have competed in at least 2 events of the Dunlop Sport Maxx Endurance Cup 2009, can obtain a Belgian C- Circuit licence 2010.

Calendar (race length/time subject to confirmation)
- Kick-Off Zolder April 9, 10, 11 150 min
- 12 Hours of Spa Francorchamps June 4, 5 150 min
- 25 Hours VW Fun Cup Francorchamps July 9, 10 180 min
- Francorchampagne Francorchamps September 17, 18, 19 240 min
- FIA GT Zolder October 8, 9, 10 125 min
- 10 Hours of Zolder November 13 600 min

For each event a 60 minutes qualifying session is foreseen.

The classes

DIVISION 1: GT

Category 1 “GT3”
FIA GT3 cars, as defined in Art. 257A of Annexe J and conforming to the specific GT3 regulations, as also their FIA GT3 Technical specification. These regulations and the FIA technical data govern.
The car must have a valid FIA-homologation sheet.
All decisions taken by the FIA GT-bureau and SRO relating to GT3 are automatically applied.
The only exceptions allowed to these specifications are:
- Free choice of fuel cell, whilst respecting Art. 6.7.2 of the Technical Regulations MVD Belcar 2010.
- Free choice of make and type of wheel rims, whilst respecting the data detailed in the Technical Sheet.
- Roll cage with an FIA- or ASN homologation, taking into account the data detyailed in the Technical Sheet.
- Free choice of chassis number.

Category 2 “GT3/B”
We have foreseen a category for the GT3 cars with an older homologation. Further specific details will follow.

Category 3 “Promotion GT4 & Supersport’’
Applies to “Grand Touring “cars of the GT4 type as also cars of the Supersport type, conforming to their respective regulations and their RACB Technical Sheet. These regulations and the SRO/RACB technical data govern.

Category 4 “GT Open” <3500cc

Category 5 “GT Open” >3500cc
GT type cars, which met or could have met the regulations of the Mediagroep Van Dyck Belcar 2004-2007 and/or the Belgian Touring Car Series 2003-2006 and/or the Belgian SRO Championship 2008 and/or the DSMEC 2008-2009; these will only be accepted upon presentation and approval of a technical dossier based on the Belcar 2010 technical regulations.
RACB Sport, in conjunction with the promoter, retains the right to fit one or two restrictors to the air intake system. Each restrictor will have a minimum length of 3mm, and will be fully visible when the bonnet is open.
The competitor in question will be advised in writing, at least 14 days prior to the start of a meeting.
Cars in this category are subject to a reference time. For Circuit Zolder the reference is set at 1’32”50, for Spa-Francorchamps at 2’23”50. For other circuits the reference time will be advised at a later date.
 
DIVISION 2: “TOURING”
Cars which conform to the BTCS 2010 Technical Regulations, Touring division.
Cars from the DSMEC 2008-2009 series can compete in 2010 according to those regulations, but after that will need to fully conform to the BTCS regulations.
No exceptions will be allowed regarding the safety norms and the weight of the car.
Category 1: cylinder capacity: 1950 -> 2500cc
Category 2: cylinder capacity: 2501 -> 3500cc
Category 3: cylinder capacity: +3500cc
For these cars the year of manufacture is 1990 or later.

DIVISION 3: “GUEST’’
Guest cars are those which do not fully conform to the Belcar 2010 Technical Regulations (except in the field of safety),but which, based on a technical dossier, could exceptionally be accepted by the RACB Sport and the promoter for one or several meetings.
 
Mandatory pit-stops
For events of 3 hours or less, there will be one mandatory stop per full race hour. For example, a race lasting 125 minutes will therefore have two mandatory stops. For races over 4 hours or 10 hours, the Specific Regulations will apply.

The championship
The Belcar Endurance Driver Champion “MVD” 2010 title will be awarded to the driver having scored the highest number of points. All results obtained during the actual meetings competed in will be added together.
The Belcar Endurance Team Champion “MVD” 2010 title will be awarded to the race number having scored the highest number of points. All results obtained during the actual meetings competed in will be added together.
The Belgian GT Team Champion “MVD” 2010 titles per Division and Category (1, 2 & 3) will be awarded to the race numbers having scored the highest number of points in their respective categories.

A specific classification will be set-up for each of these titles.

No points will be allocated to cars and drivers in the Division 4 “Guests”.

At an eventual meeting abroad and during the’10 Hours of Zolder’ meeting double points are to be earned for every title.

Noise norms
The maximum noise norm is set at 107dB with a 3dB margin.

HANS-system
The wearing of the HANS-system is compulsory for all drivers.

Tyres

Supplier: Michelin has been appointed as the exclusive supplier of tyres
Maximum number: 1 set of tyres is comprised of 2 front and 2 rear tyres.
Races of less than 180 min: max 2 sets = 8 tyres.
Races of between 180 min and 240min: max 3 sets = 12 tyres.
Race of 10 hours: see specific race regulations.

Refuelling
Refuelling is solely allowed in front of a team’s box or the team’s specifically designated area in the pitlane.

Transponders
For the Division 1 cars an AMB-transponder with ‘driver id’ is compulsory.
As from 2011 this will also be mandatory for Division 2 and Division 3 cars.
