His man opponent, the GPR Porsche of Dumarey – Soulet, was hit by some bad luck in both sessions. On Friday, the team forgot to put in the ID-plug and the team was disqualified. On Saturday, Maxime Soulet tried too hard and went off early in the session. He managed to recover, but finished in a disappointing 10th overall. Their teammates Duez and Maes got it right and finished in sixth overall.
“Without help from the sky, it will be difficult to beat the Corvette”, admits Maxime Soulet. “But there is the Driver Challenge also. Guillaume is second on 7 units of the actual leader, D2 champion Bart Couwberghs, and he might still win that one. But there also, we should at least finish in the top-3 to secure our chances.”
